Adult Learning
The following trainings can be tailored for any group of educators.

Intentional Language
The language we use with children plays a crucial role in their emotional and academic engagement, both in school and in everyday life. Participants will explore both verbal and nonverbal communication, examining how each affects message delivery. Common language patterns used with both children and adults will be analyzed, and participants will learn strategies for shifting these patterns.

Leading the Way
This training is designed for adults who lead and manage other adults. It focuses on assertive and empathetic leadership, including how to set clear expectations and boundaries. Participants will reflect on language patterns and practice techniques for navigating uncomfortable conversations with adult colleagues or team members.

Supporting Staff
This interactive training equips Teaching Assistants, Paraprofessionals, and other support staff with essential knowledge about basic brain development, behavioral responses, and real-time differentiation strategies. By understanding how students' brains react to stress, frustration, and engagement, staff will gain tools to effectively support diverse learners, de-escalate challenging behaviors, and adapt instruction on the fly.

Ripple of Positivity: Prioritizing Self-Care
This session focuses on the connection between well-being and professionals’ effectiveness. Participants explore research verified ways to recharge, stay grounded and cultivate a mindset that fosters collaboration and problem-solving. By incorporating interventions to support your body budget, you can show up as your best self – ready to inspire a ripple effect of positivity and support.

Purposeful Coaching: Supporting Staffs' Well-Being
Teaching has never been an easy profession, but the last couple of years have tested the educational community. Coaching is a form of professional development that brings out the best in people. -
Learn about developing goals to guide growth and the learning process.

Community Resiliency Model®
The Community Resiliency Model's goal is to help create "trauma-informed" and "resiliency-focused' communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using the CRM skills. The primary focus is teaching six skills that can be used at any time to help us return and remain in our Resiliency Zone.

CRM trains community members with the hope that they will pass learned skills on to others. To learn more visit https://www.traumaresourceinstitute.com/.
